Timothy Grat – Operations Manager

Timothy Grat, Operations Manager of Intaglio Mint, is passionate about coins and medal production. With 20 years of minting experience, Grat’s extensive knowledge includes: concept and design, tool and die, fabrication, packaged presentation, as well as fulfillment. Grat has been actively employed in multiple mints over his career as well as personally visited the minting operations behind the scenes of many major world minting operations. Grat has been a Seminar Instructor of Minting Technology for the American Numismatic Association. He has toured extensively demonstrating minting techniques using travelling equipment set-ups. He has also given demonstrations and been a speaker for various other groups on a broad range of Numismatic topics.

Grat holds a Lean Management Bronze Certification from SME for Continuous Improvement. His professional affiliations include the American Numismatic Association (ANA), the Florida United Numismatists (FUN), and the Boy Scout of America.

Anthony Grat – Machinist/Production Operator

Tony has recently joined Intaglio Mint, after working as a set and properties artisan for theaters in San Francisco, however he is no stranger to the art and craft of coin-making having worked as a coiner in minting previously.

While Tony manages most of the daily coining production, he is a graduate of Pickens Technical College in Denver and continues his studies of CNC machining.

As an avid hobbyist who collects exonumia and error coins, Tony’s collector passion prevails in his work at Intaglio Mint.
